Snow Day Linky Party! *Freebie!

My eyes feel like someone took them out of my head,
wrapped them in tissue paper,
and popped them back in again.

I am so sleepy.

I didn't want to wake up at 9:30, but the dogs were starting to make little "let us go potty" noises.

My hunnybun called and asked if I wanted to go to lunch at noon.

I said, "So early?"

I feel bleh.

Why am I so tired?

Blogging! Blogging is the devil.

To further explain, let me give you some backstory.

I hate calling anyone I don't know. This includes, but is not limited to

credit cards
the bank
phone service
customer service
hotels
newspaper
airlines
insurance companies
the vet
doctor's office
post office or other delivery mediums
cold calling for sales (a job I had in college)
parents of students in my class

Because of this, I delayed calling my internet service provider for several months.

It was kind of a big deal.

You see, I didn't have service.

This was because my brother and his new wife lived at my house for about a year.
Fun times.

Anyway, during this time, they asked me to cancel my service
"your crummy service," said John,

and they set up their own service
"our awesome service," said John.

When they moved out in August, I should have called immediately to have my crummy service installed again.

Guess what?

I didn't. Two reasons: 1. I'm super super cheap. 2. As I mentioned before, I hate calling these places.

So I didn't call until about a week ago, when my hunnybuns finally had it and said, "You are going to call. You are off from work. You are home all day. There is no reason for you NOT to call. You are going to call."

Boo. I had been hoping he would do it.

So I did.
After a week of "technical issues," "you'll have to call back during business hours," "that's not this department, that's another department you never heard of," and "oh, we didn't connect your service yet,"(see why I hate calling these places) I finally was able to use my own laptop, in my own house, on my own crummy service.

On the same magical, blasting me into 2011 in the nick of time day, my hunybun
-who can be wonderful at times-
set up my new TV (see yesterday's post)
my TV stand (I won't tell you how many tries it took. Whole other post)
my Apple TV (a gift from him)
and Netflix.

This meant I had two seasons of the League to rewatch.
I also had a nearly endless number of blogs to stalk
and a really really long post to write.

So needless to say, when my hunny finished setting everything up at about 9:00,
I sat,
on my couch,
shoving my face full of Lindor truffles that I had previously declared I wouldn't eat
listening to The League (haha so funny)
stalking blogs
and making some cute stuff. (see below)

Until 3:30 in the morning.
Hence, the tissue paper eyeballs.

Anyway, I am linking up with Pitner's Potpourri, one of my all-time favorites, because of all the cute (and free) stuff she posts so very frequently!

She is hosting A Snow Day Linky Party! Snow days are awesome. They make me want to drink hot chocolate and eat. And read a book on the couch, positioned in front of a window so I can watch the snow inbetween bites.

Click here to check it out and link up! Also, I am super sorry I forgot to do this before!!

This is my contribution to A Snow Day Linky Party. It's a freebie that I used it in my class to work with possessives

  5. I am soooo glad to know that I am not the only female that watches the League! My boyfriend and I are so much like Kevin and Jenny, with all the shit talk we say to each other.
